Shake Shack BGC Experience

Four months after it officially opened its first store in the Philippines last May 10, 2019, I finally tried Shake Shack when my friends agreed to accompany me in BGC.








It was a 3-hour hellish drive from Makati to Taguig due to payday Friday traffic. We arrived at the location at 9 PM and there were only 10 people lined up at the cashier but the tables were fully occupied.
It took us around 3 minutes before we were accommodated by the cashier and we were able to find a table immediately. Ten minutes after, the buzzer lit up and vibrates for us to pick up our food.



WHAT WE ORDERED:

Shack Burger - a single serving of cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato and shack sauce (PHP 250.00








Cheese Fries - crinkle-cut fries served with cheese (PHP 180.00)


Ube Shake - Manila exclusive vanilla frozen custard blended with ube (PHP 190.00)
Calamansi Limeade - Manila exclusive calamansi juice with a local twist of Shack classic (PHP 160.00)








VERDICT:
The burger tastes good but nothing is special with it, the serving is enough for me to satisfy my hungry tummy. If you would ask me if I will go back, I will go back to try their Shroom Burger which is made from portobello mushroom although it is really expensive for PHP 445.00.

The fries are just okay, fries from other restaurants are way much better. We requested to separate the cheese to avoid being saggy. Ketchup and mustard are also available for free.
The calamansi limeade is too sour for my tastebuds but I love their ube shake, it tastes like melted ube ice cream.
